--11-- A night out

As soon as the gangway connected the Sangue-Padre with the port of Garon, the majority of the crew went to explore the town. The ship was actually quiet when Angel walked onto the deck.
“Are you ready?” Angel asked Aisuru.
She had on a pair of leggings, her leather black boots, a loose black shirt tucked in, and a crimson lace vest with black ribbons. She strapped justice and vengeance to each thigh and decided to wear her hair loose and brushed the overly long wavy strands until they shined.
Angel stood their excited and waited for Aisuru to answer.
He took a deep breath and turned to face her. ”I am not going, me Angel.”
She looked up at him confused, “Of course you are. We talked about it.”
Aisuru shook his head, “Something has come up and I must leave fer a while.”
“When are you coming back” She whispered and looked down frowning as she tried to hide her disappointment.
”I am not sure.”
“So this is goodbye again?”
”Aye, I am leaving in a few minutes.”
“So soon?” Angel finally lifted her head and looked up at him.
Aisuru so didn’t want to do this. He knew she would feel a sense of abandonment once again from him. He had warned her situations could come up that would call him away and each time because of their close friendship, it got harder to say farewell.
What he had come to realize lately, though Angel would protect everyone on this ship, there were a select few that she truly trusted and he was one of them. It  was why times like this was so difficult.
Aisuru watched her carefully and tried to access how she felt.
Angel nodded  as she silently began to shut her emotions. She didn’t want to feel at the moment, so she struggled to shut the door.
Ye don’t need me fer yer meditation practise. Ye know I’ll find out if ye’re skipping it.”, Aisuru said, trying to cheer up his friend.
“I will practice as promised.” She gave him a small smile, though it didn’t reach her empty eyes.. “You be careful.”
“Of course, and I will be back be fer ye know it.” Aisuru turned to leave.
Angel bit her lower lip hard as she watched him leave. Her eyes dry as she shoved her tears inward.
“Be well, me Angel. And don’t fer get to keep,  me room clean” Aisuru joked. Those where the last words he said before disappearing.
Angel sighed and looked at the long silver chain that dangled around her neck. Her fingers glided over the warm metal that she always kept tucked beneath her shirt for safe keeping.  The wolves rubbed up against her legs. Kneeling down she hugged them both and buried her face into their fur.
“They always leave.” She whispered not realizing Reaper and Borris stood beside her, having witnessed the whole scene.
The negotiator wasn’t sure what to say. He didn’t know Angel that well but he was empathtic to what she was feeling at the moment.
“I won’t.” Reaper said quietly and knelt next to her. “I waited on a deserted beach for you to come back.”
Angel looked up at Reaper, her eyes had a soft vulnerable look to them just for a second before they turned empty.
“I am fine.” Angel said. Her soft voice  trembled a little and Reaper knew it was a lie.
He nods and stands up. He held out his hand and Angel hesitated before placing hers in his,. Reaper pulled her up gently and stepped back some.
“Do you still want to go into town?”
“If you don’t mind, I would like some time alone.” Angel said thoughtfully.
“No.” Reaper said and raised his eyebrow with a smirk on his face.
Angel blinked in surprise, “Excuse me?”
“Fun time.” He turned her around, placed his hands lightly on her shoulders and moved her forward as he walked behind her. The wolves barked excitedly and Angel looked down at them and shrugged.
“I knew you would see it my way.” Reaper teased her.
Borris finally walked over and joined them both.  He had waited, giving Reaper time to handle the situation with Angel..
“So are we going?” Borris asked them both.
“What do you think?” Reaper replied..
Angel stopped walking and poked him in the side and then smiled up at Borris, “Yes we are.” She said politely.
Borris said happily, “Let’s go.”
The bear grinned, as good as a bear could. He attempted to bow gracefully for his big size then offered Angel his arm.
Angel gave them both a small smile. She looped her arm around his big furry one and the three headed off the ship as the wolves followed behind them. Angel decided to try and enjoy the day, or at least make sure her friends had a good one. Later would be soon enough to deal with whatever she thought to herself as they walked towards their day adventure.
Reaper looked around and didn’t see Aslansa anywhere, “I am so going to win this bet.” He thought to himself and grinned.
The three of them walked around the inner town, admiring the beauty and colors of the clothing, not to mention the savory and spicy food. Both men tried their best to take Angel’s mind off of what happened and so far, they were sure it worked if her smile was any evidence.
Angel was laughing at one of Borris’s funny jokes and didn’t see the person in front of her and she bumped into him. This caused his package to slip out his hand, fall to the ground and a glass vial to break inside the small box.
“Oh, please excuse me.” Angel said politely. “I am so sorry.”
“Why don’t you watch where the hell you are going?” The man yelled furiously.
Angel flinched some at his tone, which pissed Reaper off.
“Watch your tone.” He snapped at the man.
Angel bent down to pick up the package when she felt a hand roughly pushing hers away. “Stop before you ruin it completely”, the stranger barked.
“I..I,..am only trying to help.”
“Don’t! You have done enough for one night.”
Angel cringed at the anger in his tone and fell on her knees. Omega came  and nudged her with her wet nose, feeling Angel’s emotions. Alpha on the other hand, stood next to her and growled warningly at the stranger.
“What is your problem?” Reaper snapped at the stranger.
“Your clumsy girl-friend just destroyed years of hard work! But you probably have no idea about that!”
“First off she isn’t my girl-friend. Second it doesn’t give you the right to be such a jerk” Reaper growled. “She apologized and I believe you owe her one as well.”
“I don’t owe that clutz nothing!” He yelled. “If anything she owes me and I doubt anyone that dumb could manage it.”
Reaper’s eyes flashed when Borris decided to step between them. “Sir. The young lady apologized. I doubt name calling will help anything.”
Angel reached out and touched Reapers arm,”What!” He snaps at her, not really meaning to.
“Nothing…” She says startled at his tone. “I..I…”
“You what? Can’t you talk?” The stranger narrowed his eyes.
“Sir! I have to insist that you leave her alone”; Borris said, trying to be as calm as possible.
The stranger eyed up the huge bear and eventually decided that starting a fight with those three strange creatures wasn’t the wisest thing to do.
“Your dancing bear shouldn’t walk around unleashed”; he growled before walking away.
Reaper was about to go after him, but Borris held him back.
“Let it go. He ain’t worth the trouble.”, the bear said.
Reaper grinded his teeth, but didn’t leave the group. He offered Angel his hand to help her up.
Angel’s head was lowered and her long hair framed her face as she looked at the outstretched hand.
“Angel?” Borris said and stretched out his huge paw to touch her.
“Don’t touch me.” Angel said calmly and quietly.
Borri’s hand froze in the air and he looked at Reaper who shook his head at him. Borris slowly backed away until he stood up straight and stepped back some.
Angel watched him and then her eyes turned back to Reaper who had moved his hand back to his side.
“I am sorry I yelled at you Angel.” He said in a low voice while looking down at her.
Angel didn’t say anything. She just sat there and listened to him.
“Isn’t that what is wrong? Okay..I apologize..” He reached out his hand to her again, “Get up off the ground.”
“It’s fine...” Angel said in a empty tone at first. She pushed Repear’s hand to the side and stood up on her own. “No, that isn’t all.” She said once she stood and dusted off her clothes.
“So what is it?” Reaper frowns some.
“Like I said, I am okay...remember I am an angel…” After saying that she turned to walk away.
Reapers frown turned into a deep scowl at the words she said. Borris didn’t understand the hidden meaning but he did.
“Now if you both will excuse me.” Angel said while she continued to walk away, “I would like to be alone for awhile.”
But..but..we.were supposed to..” Borris started to say, but Reaper placed a hand on his furry arm.
Borris didn’t understand how Reaper could let her walk away. “Why?” He asked him.
“She needs it.” Reaper replied sighing as he watched her until he couldn’t see her any longer, glad she at least had her wolves with her.
“I guess you are stuck with my company then.” Borris laughed, hitting Reaper on the back.
Reaper rolled his eyes and began walking in the opposite direction, Borris next to him talking which he halfheartedly listened to, his mind was on a crimson winged angel.

Angel walked away from them as she tried to calm down. She couldn’t believe how that stranger talked to her and what angered her the most was that she let him. Instead of saying something, she sat there as heart pounded fast in her chest.
“All that training for what!” She screamed in her mind over and over again, until the answer fought its way through.
“Fear.” She whispered as she walked along the beach with the wolves. She spotted a set of rocks and walked over to them. Climbing up, she sat with her legs dangling over the water and watched as the waves crashed against the rocks.
Even when Reaper had snapped at her, she felt it. Angel knew he would never hurt her but she still flinched when he yelled at her.
“I was so scared.” She whispered to Omega who had laid her head on Angel’s lap as she stroked her fur.
“Even with all the training, I still needed help.” Angel exclaimed frustratedly as she gazed out at the water.
She looked around the area of the beach she had ventured upon and saw she was alone. Wrapping her wings around her she nuzzled Omega’s neck, while Alpha watched the area and kept them safe.

Unknown to her eyes watched her and sighed at the many emotions he felt coming from her. “I wonder what happened?” Aslansa thought but didn’t go over to her. He couldn’t, though it bothered him not to. The way things were between them, he thought it better to stay away.
“I will help you in another way.” He said and walked away silently, heading to a place to  try and get some answers about the choker around Angel’s neck. “I hope this person can help in some way.” It pissed him off each time he thought about it. “Patience will get his one day”, Aslansa thought to himself. “I will make sure of it.” He growled out softly.

Angel sat where she was, with the wolves curled around her, and watched the sunset.
“Beautiful.” She said watching the sky turn from twilight to night. The stars lit up the sky and Angel longed to fly amongst them again.
“Do ye plan on staying out here all night?” A deep voice asked in a low tone from behind her.
Angel quickly jumped up and spun around; her hand gripped Vengeance as her eyes followed the sound of the voice. Angel’s eyes widened at the sight before her.
